Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I would first like to say, “Tough times never last. But tough people do.” Pipeliners are some of the toughest and most resilient folks, but we are definitely being tested. We already had many enemies to battle, such as cheap nonunion contractors, biased judges, and extreme environmental protesters.
I write this Blue Light Report while reflecting on everything that is happening in the country. With everything shut down, on lockdown, or postponed, it has been very hard on a lot of our membership.
I hope and pray this finds everyone in good health, and I pray that each one of you tries to find the blessings in every day. This too shall pass, and hopefully, we will come out stronger at the end. Work in my jurisdiction, like almost everywhere, is at a standstill. I am still optimistic that this will change with time. I am, and always will be, in the pursuit of future work. My dedication to this task has not changed, no matter how many obstacles get in the way. I am here to serve you, so please feel free to call with any of your questions or concerns: 918-991-5341.
Every member is encouraged to continue to be actively involved with our Action Network. This continues to be an amazing way for our voices to be heard, and our way of life be recognized and valued. Please take the time to encourage all family members also to get involved. There is always strength in numbers.
In closing, I wish everyone good health and happiness. God bless each one of you, and God bless this great Local.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, I hope this report finds our Local 798 family safe and healthy. By now, the COVID-19 pandemic has reached almost every county and parish in the United States. I don’t know that anyone could have forecasted that this virus would sweep through our country with such intensity.
There is no way to describe the times in which we are living. We are walking through a situation that no one has dealt with before us. However, we do have work starting. Gas companies and contractors are proceeding with extreme caution.
