Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I would first like to say, “Tough times never last. But tough people do.” Pipeliners are some of the toughest and most resilient folks, but we are definitely being tested. We already had many enemies to battle, such as cheap nonunion contractors, biased judges, and extreme environmental protesters.
It was great getting to visit with all the members at the September meeting. I also enjoyed seeing all the new members along with their families. Our Local is continually growing in record numbers. If you haven’t made plans to attend the December meeting, make plans now.
There is always knowledge to gain by attending our regular meetings, and it gives you a chance to become more actively involved.
Work is still very slow in my jurisdiction, but I am still diligently working to improve this situation. I wish I had a more positive outlook, but presently all the work is in the Northeast.
I would like to take the time to recognize the amazing job that Jesse Johnson did on restructuring our Local 798 web page. Hopefully, our Membership will have an easier time keeping up with the job lists, the Action Network, and current events.
I would also like to continue to remind every member how important staying active on our Action Network is for our future. This is a fantastic way for our voices to be heard, and our way of life be recognized and valued. The success of our great Local depends on active involvement from ALL of our membership.
In closing, please remember, I am here to serve you. Please feel free to call with any questions or concerns. If you cannot reach me on the office phone, then call my cell number, 918-991-5341. God bless this great Local, and God bless each one of you.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, I hope this report finds our Local 798 family safe and healthy. By now, the COVID-19 pandemic has reached almost every county and parish in the United States. I don’t know that anyone could have forecasted that this virus would sweep through our country with such intensity.
There is no way to describe the times in which we are living. We are walking through a situation that no one has dealt with before us. However, we do have work starting. Gas companies and contractors are proceeding with extreme caution.
