Do you remember the first time you stepped onto the ROW to work for Local 798? Maybe it was your first job, or maybe you came from the non-union side with a leap of faith to better yourself. Constructed in two phases, Gulf Connector will deliver natural gas to feed two liquefied natural gas export terminals in Texas — one located on the northern coast of Corpus Christi Bay in 2019, and another located on the coast of Freeport Bay in the second half of 2018. Both liquefaction facilities are currently under construction. The process involves adding compression and making the natural gas flow bi-directional on a portion of the Transco system between Louisiana and south Texas.
