Stand up and be counted. The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will host public meetings about the Mountain Valley Pipeline.
The DEP public meeting is an opportunity for you to stand up for pipelines and our work connecting the Nation’s energy resources. Any member wishing to comment in person is welcome to attend the meeting and send a message to the DEP and your community.
Here are some quick facts about the Mountain Valley Pipeline:
The Mountain Valley Pipeline will…
-Spend $811 million on West Virginia based labor, goods, and services from 2015 to 2018.
-Support 4,500 jobs in 2017 and 2018 during the peak of construction.
-Deliver clean-burning natural gas to homes, businesses and natural gas-fired generation plants built to replace older, higher emission coal-fired generation plants.
-Provide access to enough natural gas to reliably power and heat homes and businesses for generations to come.
