Northeast Supply Enhancement is a critical expansion of the Transco natural gas pipeline system in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. Construction of this nearly $1 billion project is expected to support over 3,000 jobs, many of these going to Local 798 members. Once complete, Northeast Supply Enhancement will provide customers access to enough natural gas to serve the daily needs of nearly 2.3 million homes. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) released the final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the project on Jan 25, 2019, finding the project will have "minimal" potential impact on the environment.Share
