Dear Mr. Fusco:
As a proud member of Pipeliners Local 798, my hope is that you will consider using union labor to construct Midship Pipeline. Local 798 represents more than 8,000 of the best men and women in this industry, 700 of whom live and work in Oklahoma. My fellow members have worked tirelessly to be the best and most dedicated pipeliners in the industry.
Local 798 has generations of experience constructing quality infrastructure, and our work connects consumers to critical energy resources across the country. Generations of Local 798 members have played a central role in building Oklahoma’s energy infrastructure. We want to continue this tradition of constructing pipelines in our home state. I can assure you there is no better team to construct Midship Pipeline than Local 798.
I understand that hiring contractors working with unions can increase your initial bottom line. However, a price tag cannot be placed on quality, safety and professionalism. Local 798 has a strong track record of creating safe workplaces, protecting the environment and building strong communities in the places that intersect our jobs.
The Midship Pipeline project provides critical opportunities for my Brothers and Sisters right here in Oklahoma. If given the opportunity, Local 798 will help build a safe and environmentally protective pipeline. Please trust in our abilities and the benefits that can be realized by extending a hand to Local 798. We look forward to working on this project; our livelihoods depend on it.
