The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is holding an in-person public scoping meeting on September 8 to collect public comments on Enbridge’s Line 5 Pipeline Tunnel project's Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
What: Public scoping meeting with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
When: Thursday, September 8, 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. EDT
Where: Little Bear Arena / 275 Marquette Street / Saint Ignace, Michigan 49781
RSVPs are not necessary to attend, but please note that participation limits are approximately 500 for this in-person meeting. The meeting will begin with the Corps of Engineers providing a brief presentation to review the proposed project, the NEPA process and methods of providing scoping comments. Attendees will then have the opportunity to provide information regarding the EIS scope to a stenographer, as well as on live computer stations to submit comments via the www.Line5TunnelEIS.com website.
We also encourage all advocates to sign our comment in the Action Network that we will submit to the Army Corps before the EIS comment period ends on October 14.
