About the project

In 2023 the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) granted a three-year extension for completion of the Mountain Valley Pipeline Southgate project. This means the project, which is a critical extension of the Mountain Valley Pipeline in the Virginias, now has until June 2026 to be completed and put into service.

Construction on MVP Southgate is still halted until it receives a notice to proceed from FERC after confirming the project has received all state and federal permits it needs. Two state permits in particular - an air permit from Virginia and a water permit from North Carolina - are still outstanding.

Take action here to support this project, and learn more on its project website.
