About the project

Williams Co. is expected to file initial paperwork in 2024 on its Southeast Supply Enhancement project with a target in-service date by the end of 2027. This is a substantial expansion of the existing Transco pipeline’s system that would run from Virginia to Alabama, moving up to 1.5 billion cubic feet of methane gas per day.

This is a significant investment that will support good jobs for our members in the Southeast and Northeast region and is the first large-scale takeaway expansion to be announced in the area since the long-delayed Mountain Valley Pipeline was cleared. Take action here to support the project, and learn more on it Williams' project website.

My name is Ruben Perez, and I’m reaching out to express my interest in a pipeline welder helper position with a Local 798 contractor.

My background is primarily in fireline work, and I have one month of hands-on experience working as a pipeline helper. During that time, I assisted welders with grinding, rig setup and breakdown, handling tools and materials, and maintaining a clean and safe jobsite. My fireline experience has given me a strong work ethic, discipline, and the ability to work long hours in tough conditions while following direction and safety procedures.

I understand that I am still early in my pipeline career, but I am dependable, drug-free, physically capable, and motivated to learn and improve. I show up on time, stay busy, and do what’s needed to support the crew and keep work moving.

I’m available to travel, work per diem, and start immediately. I would appreciate the opportunity to work, learn, and prove myself on your crew.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

My name is Sean Gil and I am from a small island called saipan. I was the only guy in school that was welding which made me a decision that i will travel to the us for a brighter future and a better chance of learning. There isnt any welding schools in my hometown. So i would love to have a chance of welding in the union and learn a lot of hard work and the process in the future. I am applying for a helper due to lack of skill levels. I am eager to learn the welding process of pipeline welding and much more!
